Delete Your Account
Swagat Grocers respects your right to control your personal information. This page explains how to request deletion of your Swagat Grocers account and the personal data associated with it, what is deleted, what we are legally required to keep, and how long the process takes.
How to request account and data deletion
You can request deletion in any of the following ways. No account login is required to submit a request.
- Email (fastest): Send a message to info@GoSwagat.com with the subject line Account Deletion Request.
- Phone: Call us at (850) 329-6051 during store hours.
- In person: Visit us at 1626 Capital Circle Northeast, Tallahassee, FL 32308.
Please include in your request
- The email address or phone number registered to your Swagat Grocers account
- Your full name as it appears on the account
- A statement that you are requesting deletion of your account and personal data
We may ask you to confirm your identity before we process the request. This is to make sure nobody else can delete your account on your behalf.
What data is deleted
When your request is processed, we permanently erase the personal information we hold about you, including:
- Your account profile: name, email address and phone number
- Saved shipping, delivery and billing addresses
- Marketing and communication preferences, and your email/SMS subscription records
- Saved wishlist items
- Loyalty and rewards profile, including any unredeemed points balance
- Customer service correspondence and notes linked to your account
- Personal details attached to your past orders, which are anonymised so the order can no longer be linked back to you
We do not store your full payment card details. Card payments are handled by our payment processors, and only the last four digits and card type are ever visible to us.
What we must keep, and why
Some records cannot be deleted on request because we are legally required to retain them:
- Order, invoice and transaction records are retained for the period required by United States federal and Florida state tax and accounting law (generally up to seven years). These records are kept in anonymised or de-identified form wherever possible.
- Records required to resolve a dispute, chargeback, fraud investigation or legal claim are retained until the matter is closed.
Once the applicable retention period ends, these records are deleted or permanently anonymised.
How long it takes
- We acknowledge every request within 7 days of receiving it.
- Verified requests are completed within 30 days. If we need more time because a request is complex, we will tell you before the 30 days are up and explain why.
- Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
After your account is deleted
You will no longer be able to sign in, view your order history, or access any rewards points or wishlist saved to the account. You are welcome to create a new account at any time, but it will start empty — previous orders, points and saved details cannot be restored.
Other privacy choices
If you do not want to delete your account entirely, you have other options. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link at the bottom of any message, reply STOP to any SMS, update your details from your account page, or ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you. See our Privacy Policy and Your Privacy Choices pages for more.
